Espadrilles - Erica-FA, raspberry red leather

Lovely Toni Pons espadrilles! The charming Erica espadrilles feature a large rosette decoration over the toes. The sandals are slingback style, with a strap wrapping around the heel that has an elastic insert on the inner side to make putting them on easier. The toe is almost closed, with the toes visible only through a small opening at the front. Toni Pons shoes are largely handmade from natural materials in Spain. They are also pleasantly soft on the foot. The small wedge heel feels comfortable thanks to the good last and the platform sole under the ball of the foot. Beautiful summer shoes for many occasions!

Maria the merchant’s medium-width feet – details:

• Not a high instep and not a low instep
• A “flipper” shape, meaning the toes are almost equally long, with no pronounced curve at the toe line 😊
• A slightly rounded toe box suits best; very pointed shapes often don’t have enough room for Maria’s big toe
• Usually wears size 43, with a medium-wide G last or a wide H last
• In barefoot shoes, typically size 42, because there’s enough room for the toes
• Length of the longer foot 26.8 cm
• Width at the ball of the foot 11 cm

Size 43 fit Maria’s foot and the leather would surely shape to fit. In terms of length, 42.5 would probably be the best size for Maria. 😊 The espadrilles are on the narrower side, so it was a bit uncertain whether they would fit Maria’s wider foot. The more closed Erica model is good in that the leather edges cover if the foot extends slightly beyond the sole. But such beautiful and nicely feeling lovely shoes!
